Walk 225 - Glyder Fawr, Glyder Fach
Distance: 11.9km
Ascent: 890m

Dec 2024 - Ascent from Llyn Ogwen. I have never seen the Glyderau so quiet. Not that surprising as it was Monday, freezing cold and really blustery on the tops. Fantastic walk though. Plenty of ice but avoidable and the rock was dry and grippy. Ascended through the Devil's Kitchen once again and didn't fall this time! I meandered around a bit on the plateau between the two summits, taking in the views which were sunny and sharp to the north and shadowy and hazy to the south. Amazing views over Cwm Cneifion (The Nameless Cwm) over to Y Garn and down the Ogwen Valley to Anglesey.  The Snowdon massif looked extremely atmospheric. Picked up the Miner's Track down to Bwlch Tryfan as the normal steep scree descent was icy and I was cramponless. Fantastic few hours of total solitude.
