Oct 2024 - Ascent from Llyn Ogwen. After beans on toast in the newly reopened Moel Siabod cafe, it was off to the start point. The straight up route onto Pen y Ole Wen is a personal favourite, due to the frequent scrambling and the amazing views back to Tryfan, the Glyders and Y Garn. It was fabulous as always with ever-changing cloudscapes and no-one else about, unlike the other side of the valley. No wind today, unlike yesterday and the weather stayed kind. Amused some folk on Carnedd Llewelyn's summit with the doning of the pigeon head. The descent was lovely; the down climb off Penywaun-wen and the glistening waters of the Ffynnon Llugwy reservoir both amazing. Dry feet today as well. Fabulous day.
