Aug 2022 - Ascent from Llyn Ogwen. The arduous ascent, with retrospective views of Tryfan and the Glyders, was fabulous, as were the scrambly sections on Pen yr Ole Wen's eastern ridge. Weather was better than forecast and, although the mist set in and things got soggy, it soon cleared as I crossed between Dafyyd and Llewelyn. Great craggy views to Yr Elen. So good to be back up on the Carneddau; quiet and very few about. Descended from Carnedd Llewelyn to Bwlch Eyrl Farchog, an amazing connecting ridge, with scrambles both ends, up to Pen yr Helgi Du. Took the long Y Braich ridge to the valley in descent.
