Walk 134 - Waun Fach
Distance: 12km
Ascent: 610m
June 2021- Ascent from Pengenffordd. This excellent horseshoe route encircles the head of the Rhiangoll valley, taking in the highest castle in Wales, the Y Grib ridge (also known as the Dragon's Back), considered the finest ridge in the area, and the highest point of the Black Mountains, Waun Fach (810m), not a peak as such, but a large flat top. Roasting hot but enjoyable.
