Walk 122 - Moel Siabod
Distance: 15km
Ascent: 864m
Aug 2020 - Ascent from Dolwyddelan. Absolutely love Moel Siabod, standing alone and commanding views of all of Snowdonia. Great ascent this which avoids most folk. The Daear Ddu ridge offered some great scrambling as I attempted to find the most risky line. Had the summit to myself for almost an hour until a pleasant chap turned up. Seven years ago I enjoyed this way up with Gemma. The forestry walk in was not the mushroom-rich escapade of last time. I did keep a look out - saw none! Great views from the top - click the link vid. Followed the wonderful north-east ridge down in an improvised route back to Dolwyddelan.
