July 2017 - (with Gemma) Ascent from Kleine Scheidegg. We travelled today to the 'top of Europe', the Jungfraujoch, an excellent train journey, the last 40 minutes of which takes you steeply in a tunnel through the Eiger to a height of 3550m. Photos of this are after the walk pics. After this we returned to the start point of our hike, at Kleine Scheidegg. We ascended Lauberhorn first before descending to join the main path to Männlichen.This panoramic route offers the reward of nearly constant views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau, plus commanding views of the Grindelwald Valley. Fantastic hike and a relaxing cable car ride down to Grindelwald. An absolutely sweltering day.
