Apr 2019 - (with Gemma) Our intended mountain was a no-go due to a horrendous forecast. After driving to the start point, a local mountain rescue bloke said in broken English (better than my Spanish) that it would be madness to go up in the thick fog and deep snow. So, we heeded his advice and headed lower down to Poncebos for a walk up through an amazing gorge to a mountain village. It didn’t disappoint! Classic path with extraordinary drops on one side on many occasions. Loads of mountain goats about. Extremely quiet also which added a sense of isolation.
