Walk 134 - Creag a'Mhàim, Druim Shionnach, Aonach Air Chrith,    Maol chinn-dearg
Distance: 22.9km
Ascent: 1292m

Oct 2022 - Ascent from Cluanie Inn. I decided on the first four Munros of the south Glen Shiel ridge today. It was wild on the tops - proper gale force wind and stinging rain. Considering this, the visibility was quite good and the views were spectacular. Saw nobody on the mountains for the third day in a row - plenty of deer (see pic), no humans. It was a lengthy walk in on a good track into a really isolated area before a stalker's path wound steeply up northwest to the summit of Creag a'Mhaim with great views south to Gleouraich and Spidean Mialach. The ridge stretched westwards from here and was really enjoyable with some narrow bits requiring simple scrambling and a steady head in the wind. The north Glen Shiel summits including the Brothers and Sisters of Kintail tops looked gorgeous. I was eating on the move today due to the cold. It was a relief to get to the final Munro, Maol chinn-dearg, and I was glad I'd picked the Druim Coire nan Eirecheanach for descent as it was superb. The two mile walk up the road to the start point was not! Two people stopped and offered me a lift but I politely declined. I've seen too many films/true crime documentaries.
