Jurassic Coast - Durdle Door and White Nothe
Distance: 11.2km
Ascent: 600m

Nov 2024 - Up at 5:30am and enjoyed the drive down to the Jurassic Coast for the sunrise. I was irritated to see they've upped the charges for parking at Durdle Door - £10 for up to 4 hours, and £20 for 'all day' ie. over 4 hours. It's shite for those who want a lengthy walk. I paid £10 but I was constantly mindful of the time which was irritating. No-one else about when I started walking at 7:15am but I did encounter some photographers perched on the cliffs waiting for the sunrise. I found my own spot on Swyre Head. It was a lovely sunrise and I was fortunate as the cloud base was low and there was only a slither of clear sky between the horizon and it. I had intended to walk the White Nothe undercliff again, but I slipped on my arse at the start of the steep, exposed descent, so I bailed. Loved it today, the isolation was fantastic. Visited Lulworth Cove and Stair Hole afterwards as the parking fee covers that car park as well. Still shite value for money.
