Oct 2022 - Ascent from Morvich. Long walk but fabulous - saw only one chap, on my return, who was in the Navy in Portsmouth! Wet and windy above the tree line, and I considered turning back however the path was clear throughout so I continued onwards, knowing I'd be returning via the same path. The sense of remoteness of the falls is incredible as you ascend over a mountain bealach, before plunging down the other side into a truly isolated valley, and eventually arrive at the top of the falls. Only the upper section of the falls is visible from the top. Whilst the ground beyond was slightly dangerous and exposed, I continued very carefully down a rough path to reach a natural rocky balcony which had a terrific view of the whole height of the great falls, where the Allt a'Ghlomaich tumbles in two great leaps of over 110m down into an awesome gorge. The scale is difficult to gauge on the video but the noise was deafening. It was then the tedious return but the weather did slightly improve and I saw a frog and a Scarlet Wax Cap!
