Mar 2020 - Another lovely ramble through the New Forest today from Brockenhurst through some previous unvisited parts to New Milton. The walk took me through Hincheslea Wood, the Wilverley Inclosure, the Wooton Coppice Inclosure and the Broadley Inclosure. Why’s it spelt inclosure with an i? Those involved in the ‘enclosure’ acts of the late 17th century, which eventually led to the formation of the National Park, insisted on keeping the ancient spelling so that's why it has an i and not an e!
