Aug 2026 - What could have been! Fortunately, we took the first cable car up, had a hot chocolate in the cafe and were afforded some views down to Andalsnes and the nearby fjords. This, it turned out, as the best of the weather. Gemma bailed at this point, opting to go back down on the next gondola. I managed to get quite high up to the start of the Romsdalseggen Ridge before the rain became torrential and forced me back down.There were some views early on but I had to abandon the continuation on the ridge to its summit which was another mile or so on. Looking at others' posts, the views on a good day are spectacular. Gutted!
