Dec 2022 - Ascent from Seathwaite. Major thaw and much milder again today so plenty of water making its way down Ruddy Gill and Grains Gill which were both stunning in the early morning light. Not many others out and about, so it was a peaceful ascent up to Esk Hause. Esk Pike was the first summit of the day which was completed in mist, however it started to clear slightly as I then crossed to Great End. The wind picked up considerably here and the sun eventually made an appearance. Decided to tag on Allen Crags, from where Great Gable and the Langdale Pikes were stunning, as well as Glaramara close by. Descended again alongside Grains Gill to Seathwaite.
