April 2022 - Ascent from Gatesgarth. Plenty of bus shenanigans today, including a jam-packed bus screaming in first up to Honister from Seatoller, and then, after the walk, an ignorant bus driver who, after arriving in Buttermere 15 mins late and then vaping for 10 minutes, drove past a bunch of us who were waiting at the designated bus stop. I was fuming and arrived back in Keswick an hour later than intended - I did meet a lovely old couple though who delighted in my every death threat against encountered cyclists and 4x4 drivers. The walk was amazing; did the High Stile range in reverse which meant I avoided the masses. I did meet an angry cow though. Fabulous views over Haystacks, up to Gable and across to Pillar. Ennerdale looked stunning and the views over Crummock to Grasmoor were stunning. Happy days!
