March 2022 - Ascent from Braithwaite. Bus to Braithwaite followed by a lovely walk up and into Coledale. Excellent visibility throughout the walk and windy on the tops and ridges. Plenty of ascent today but it was spread out nicely. Met a few folk who'd turned back from the ascent ridges due to the gales, particularly between Sail and Crag Hill. I pressed on; it wasn't that bad to be honest. Fabulous views of the High Stile range and the Scafell massif from Crag Hill and Wandope. Hopegill Head and Grisedale Pike were deserted. Loved it today.
