Dec 2020 - Ascent from Blea Tarn. Lower level walk today due to the grim forecast and low cloud. Parked up at Blea Tarn and began by taking the lovely path around the tarn to the south. Up and over Side Pike. On the eastern side of Side Pike is a rock feature known as “The Squeeze” or “Fat Man’s Agony”, a large vertical flake of rock which is separated from the fell’s rock face by a small gap. Great fun going through here. From there, in cloud, in was an undulating pull up to Lingmoor Fell’s summit. No views whatsoever, in stark contrast to the last time I was up here, when the Langdale Pikes, Crinkles and Bowfell looked spectacular.
