Aug 2014 - (with Gemma) Gemma got attacked by Artic Terns today! We drove a short distance south over the Snaefellsnes peninsula to Hellnar where we enjoyed a fantastic coastal walk to Arnstarpi and back. We spent ages exploring the various caves, sea stacks and contorted shapes of this basalt coastline; scrambling up and over things here and there. The area is teeming with raucous birds (as Gemma discovered!) The tiny harbour was a wonderful example to fishing in these waters, as we watched a boat return and unload its ice boxes full of fish.
