July 2019 - Ascent from Les Confins. Wonderful route today, again through huge Alpine corries (combes) and lovely forest. Some goat action early doors which was enjoyable. The Aravis Range is made up of a succession of combes with calcareous peaks rising above. The combe of Tardevant is situated in the middle and is the only one to have a lake. Most people seemed to stop here, with the summits were another 400m up. A final scree field leads to the ridge. The summit of Tardevant was tiny but a great viewpoint. The swirling clouds meant ever-changing vistas. The ridge between summits was exposed but relatively wide. No teasing over the horticulture at the end, Dave!
