Travelling Trev
Cut Hill, Fur Tor, Black Hill, Hangingstone Hill, Sittaford Tor
Distance: 23.5km
Ascent: 629m

May 2020 - Ascent from Postbridge. Just so fantastic to be out and about, and up a bit higher. Headed off to Dartmoor for a couple of days. This first walk was quite a long one from Postbridge out to the wilds of Cut Hill, arguably the most remote of Dartmoor’s tors. Highlight of the ascent was the Sandy Hole Pass, just a beautiful peaceful area, and Fur Tor, which offered great views all the way to Cornwall. The terrain was quite difficult going especially crossing between Cut Hill and Hangingstone Hill. It was interesting to find some of the peat crossings though. Took my time, plenty of rest breaks and even a quick nap on Sittaford Tor. Amazing views all day and only saw two other people in the whole 15 mile walk. In the evening, I headed up for a scramble around Haytor, and took in the sunset.
